Community of Interest
Our vision is that 4thQtr /Letters to My Grandchildren evolves into a real community of interest. Everybody who visits the site is a member of that community. Members can be fully passive, or extraordinarily active. This is their choice. The only rule is that all information posted on the site must be first subjected to a peer review.
Anybody can access the site, read the materials, recommend the information to others, print off essays and send them to their family and friends. The goal is for you to make maximum use of the information. We do not care who gets credit for that.
Other members of the community may enjoy greater involvement. The first level of that is to offer comments on postings, many of which are essays, and some of which are shorter pieces that, for now, we will identify as blogs. If you write a thought piece on a post it will go through peer review, and if it passes the content will be integrated into the post. That is, you will have changed the posted information – made it richer, made it more diverse, or made it consider new ideas – your ideas, sometimes painfully developed over years of experience.
The second level is that you may choose to put your name forward as a regular content provider. In this case, we will need to get to know you. So, we will need your email address in order to start a dialogue and guide you through the application process.

4thQtr.com is in beta and will remain there for some time. We have a lot to do. If you are viewing the site it is because the founders have specifically invited you to participate in its development or you have found us by accident.
Currently, we are recruiting content providers. The founders have developed the information posted on the site. But that information does not become 4thQtr information until it is enriched by our content providers. This is our next stage – to enrich the postings, even as we add more original postings. We will regularly update you with regard to our progress.
